When booking the Vietnamese web bus, you should look at the size of the pushroom and then the extras. As a high traveller, the VIP inscription is not enough in itself: you need the usable length, width, leg design and clarification as to if you are actually getting the vehicle you're looking at. If there is no answer to these questions, you can't decide whether the premium is worth it.

I understand the massage function. But my knee probably needs more space. It's harder to add the latter to a bus after the two.

What do VIP, limousine and cabin actually mean?

In the Vietnam offers, there are several names. Sleeper bus refers to a pushchair bus; cabin may refer to a separate passenger compartment; limousine alone does not tell you for sure that you are taking a pushover. HK Buslines' own vehicle side a special presentation of the cabin bedroom and VIP limousine seat service. Which is why it's worth getting to the full description.

Your Guide to the G8 Open Tour the standard category includes 38-44 pushrooms, 32-34 for limousine sleeper and 22-24 cabins for VIP cabin. This is a useful example of how a service provider classifies. I wouldn't automatically apply it to another company's offer or every Vietnamese bus. Less space can give you more space, but the allocation doesn't tell you how much longer the bed is.

The premium may mean a wider position, better separation, adjustable backrest or more equipment. They can have different values. The privacy behind the curtain and the extended leg are two separate wishes.

The wider cabin may not be longer

One of the Klook, HK Buslines' Hanoi-Da Nang / Hoi An offers 180 / 85 cm cabin size. This is a specific product page, not a national standard, and it cannot be established from the description that the total inside size or the actual injection surface has been measured. I'd like to ask you this before booking.

Another can be found in Hungarian between Nha Trang and Ho Si Minh GetYourGuide Offer 48 / 175 for cabin 34 and 65 / 175 cm for 24. In this offer, the width is thus increased and the length is unchanged. It doesn't come from the fact that every expensive bus is just as short. It follows that the two numbers should also be read in the more expensive category.

I didn't measure these dimensions on the vehicles. They are listed in the service descriptions with a verification of 19 October 2026. They show you what data is worth searching for, but the size of that daily flight has to be confirmed by the seller.

If you are around 190 centimetres tall, a stated length of 180 centimetres will not become adequate just because the pillow looks soft in the photograph. You might sleep well with bent legs, find it tolerable or regret it after two hours. Neither a category name nor an average star rating can decide that for you.

Why do passengers give such different accounts?

In a Reddit conversation A 194-inch traveler was looking for a suitable bus on the Ninh Binh-Da Nang road. Later, he wrote back that with a 22-push VIP limousine flight, the trip was finally manageable, but he couldn't stretch his legs. This is your own report on a specific route; not all buses with the same name.

Author of Mini Adventures other experience: about 190 cm wide shoulders of his companion did not particularly fight the foot on three web buses. The author recommends the low capacity cabin version. The two stories are good for each other. Other vehicles, other places and other comfort needs may be behind the difference, but we cannot separate this from the reports.

In the evaluations, I would therefore like to look for which route, when, in what cabin, and what it says about its size. The very convenient note is really helpful when something comes out about who was comfortable. The subject matter of the complaint is equally important: low foot space, heavy boarding and too strong air conditioning are different problems.

I would not draw a single line at 180 centimetres, with everything fine below it and hopeless above. Besides height, your sleeping position, the space your shoulders need and how much you want to turn all matter. These are particularly difficult to judge from an advertising photograph.

Take a look at the leg part of the photo.

The broad-angle image of the bus interior shows the layout, but as a measuring tape, it is low. There is no spacious pushroom coming from the corridor that looks like a broad. A close shot can help more: where does the bed end, how closed is the leg, what is next to the shoulder, and where can you get into the place?

In addition to the total usable length, the height may be interesting at the foot. If the leg is placed under a hull, it's different from an open-ended pushover. Before buying, I would like to get a picture or a short video of this. There is no need to assume that something is wrong; this is simply the detail which is not shown by the outside bus photo.

The picture accompanying this article shows the interior of a Thaco Mobihome bus in 2015. It is used to illustrate the arrangement of bunk pushrooms. It is not the current vehicle of the service providers that we are talking about and I would not read any size data on it.

What do you ask before booking?

Is it easy to get general reassurance on a question like that? It's worth more if you give me your height, date, route, and ask for the length and width of the usable pushover. Also make it clear that the given size belongs to the mattress or cabin.

Then you can have the place: top or bottom pushroom, one or two cabins, and whether you can choose at all. For example, the Klook offer under consideration provides random space allocation depending on availability. On the other hand, HK's own booking regulations also mention a place number as part of the confirmation. The process may be different on other sales channels, so it's a condition of your own reservation.

For example, this English message can be sent to the seller, filling out the parts in the square brackets:

* I am [heat] cm tall. For the [date, background time, route] service, what are the usual bed length and width? Do those measures result to the math or the whole cabin? Is the footwell enclosed? Can I choose a specific berth, and can you confirm which veto type will operate this departement?

I'd like to save the answers with confirmation. If the company only writes VIP and comfortable, you still have no size. It's time to decide if this uncertainty will fit in your way. If the space available is a basic condition, I would rather look for an offer to clarify it.

By travelling in pairs, check the reservation unit at the two-person cabin: is the price indicated for one person or for the entire cabin? Is the width to be understood by the whole pushboard or person? One larger number seems to be easily reassuring until it turns out that you two share it. Do not derive the contents of your reservation from the location of the couple you see in the photo.

When you choose between the top and the bottom, think about getting in. If you get up to sleep often, or you're having trouble climbing up to a tight spot, I'd take that as seriously as the size of the mattress. In addition to the position indicated on the location map, you can also request a picture showing the boarding. An unanswered question does not prove a bad service; it only indicates that you cannot compare that quality at this time.

Plan the whole night, not just the berth

You can also have a small backpack in the cabin, so it's important to know where the big package is and what's left for you. Klook's offer examined identifies a normal package and a handbag, and HK's own rules contain a weight limit. I would not make a general Vietnamese baggage rule of these: always look at the condition of the ticket chosen.

Air conditioning, bathroom and rest facilities should also be clarified on flights. The G8 general guide includes stops, the Klook product being tested also refers to several rest periods. This does not result in an exact period of time for all buses. If it's important for your choice, ask him separately, don't plan the night from evaluating another route.

At departure time, also check whether the ticket is for collection or departure of the long distance bus, if it needs to be crossed over and where it will take place. A few hours after the arrival of the morning should also be found. A night saved in a hostel is less convincing if you just wait half a day to get to bed.

When I would choose another option

If the suitable pushover is apparently short, and you need the extended body position to sleep, I wouldn't expect a miracle from the higher category. In this case it is worth looking at the sitting day or railway, where the route allows this. Official Transport Guide of Vietnam Tourism It shall also provide railway facilities with seats and sleepers; the specific train, position and timetable shall be checked in the same way.

Switching to the day bus takes the need to sleep out of the situation, not necessarily the tight spot. The train can give you a different arrangement, but there is also a top pushroom and a finite bed. The whole way is worth comparing: getting to the station, driving time, connection, point of arrival and plan for the next day.

A different decision may be justified if there is only one busy walk in the morning and another if you go on a long tour. In the second case, I would spend more money or daytime time for a more predictable rest. One morning can still be rearranged. It's a lot harder to get busy in the morning.
