Dunes are just one part of the landscape
In the desert photos, sand is easily overloaded. Strong shape, simple background, variable light: it is understandable that many images are built on it. In my own ways, however, I was more and more interested in the parts that did not fit into this one sight.
I've been to rivers and pits where there's still water after winter. During several days of walking, I also found natural pools that I would not have expected from the usual desert image. This is our own observation of certain routes and periods, not a promise that there will be water suitable for bathing on the next route.
Eleven days with a pack donkey
I spent eleven days on a private trip to Sahara with a pack donkey. I named him Yiddir. In my follow-up report, I wrote about 160 kilometers, along with grazing and wandering over photography.
The course of the journey was also shaped by cooperation with the animal. Crossing the water and the barren dunes stopped him in places. In situations like this, you couldn't just follow the plan in your head. The particular obstacle had to be solved, and while watching how the animal was going with me.
A personal journey does not automatically become a group itinerary
Experience of the personal pavement helps you plan a route, but a group of desert tours must be organised separately. Local escorts, cook, food, water, luggage and camping are all part of the task.
The Nomad trail program therefore operates with a separate description and consultation. The individual solutions of the pools in the old report or the samaras road will not become part of this programme.
