Seven days in a row is the point.
The full programme runs from 16–27 July 2027, with the riding section planned for 19–25 July. Cultural and travel days surround the seven riding days. Much of the planned riding route is above 3000 metres, which is part of what you need to prepare for.
There's no need to be a professional rider, but I don't want someone on this road for the first time in their life. In a few experiences, the pre-departure horsemen and, if possible, field riding are included in the recommendation. In a personal consultation, we start with the actual history.
Who sets the pace?
On the horse section, each participant gets his own horse. A local rider guide and assistant will accompany the team; I am present as a Hungarian-speaking coordinator and photographer. The orders of the local Horseman leader are in charge.
The daily distance, route and possible faster routes are adapted according to the condition of terrain, weather, horses and groups. I'm not going to advance a promise to the tempo that can be overwritten by crime scene circumstances.
The day doesn’t end when you dismount
For the mountain section we plan to stay in traditional yurts with local families. The program is equipped with 3- 4 persons accommodation and easier washing conditions. It is worth talking about this as openly as it is about riding: the way of rest counts for several consecutive days.
The programme includes full board. The different diet must be predicted; its solubility will be discussed separately. Before leaving, we are also talking about stratified and waterproof clothing, personal equipment and horse riding, insurance for high mountain activity.
Photos are also taken, but the location decides
In addition to documenting the road, I plan horse portraits and environmental portraits. These are made at safe-to-use locations. For a good picture, we will not overwrite the decision of the local leader or the status of the horse and participant.
