At the end of the free walking tour there is a moment when you suddenly have to open a pricing class in your head. Two hours walk, stories, some good stops, and then the question comes out: how much is that? The program's name is free. The situation is that someone should pay now.

The short answer is: you usually choose the follow-up amount for tip-up sightseeing, but the terms of a specific reservation count. There are no tariffs for all countries, service providers and families. A larger company may have a preaccepted fixed payment obligation. Therefore, the decision is worth starting before you apply when no one is standing in front of you with a phone or an open bag.

Free here represents a payment model

In GuruWalk's own description, the participant decides at the end of the walk how much the program was worth to him. This is a possibility that should be taken literally: we are talking about retrospectively considering service. However, the general concept of the platform does not yet state all the conditions for participation in a particular walk.

The weird thing about the name is that the most insecure part gets the most reassuring inscription. We know the date, we know the rendezvous point, we know the language. The price will end up impromptu. Some people have freedom, others have two hours of preparation for an unpleasant social task. None of these reactions prove that the person is in a bad way.

The advantage of the system can be real: you don't have to take full price for an unknown leadership in advance. In return, the final decision will be left to you. If the calculated cost is more important to you than an ex post weighing, a fixed price walk is a perfectly reasonable choice. You don't necessarily have to feel the best in the loosest-looking construction.

Who earns from it, and how?

The city, the manager and the booking page are three separate characters. Just because you don't see a separate platform fee at the cashier's office doesn't mean there's a business model for mediation. For example, GuruWalk's support materials specifically manage Hobby and PRO operations and write about credits related to PRO reservations. It follows from this that the pay of the visitor and the amount remaining with the manager are not necessarily the same.

However, it is not fair to say that all the leaders of the latter pay the same amount of money for each participant. Different intermediaries, local organisers and voluntary programmes cannot be folded into a single commission table. A precise cost could only be given from the current conditions of that system. And the value of the leader's work will not be solved if you manage to track down all his deductions.

It's worth keeping that difference in the head count. The tip is not automatically a clean claim, but the participant did not agree to become an accountant for an entire company on the spot either. The service provider shall clearly state the conditions under which he receives a receipt. What you need to decide is whether or not you want to participate in this form.

Why isn't there a single fair amount?

In travelers' conversations, it is repeated that participants do not know whether they give little or much. It is found in the Reddit fibres examined, which are related to the price of a local meal, and are looking at the length and quality of the driving. In another entry, the traveller appears to have heard on the spot, and it seems to him that there is a high recommended amount. These are personal accounts, unofficial price lists.

This diversity is more useful than a round number found on the Internet. Another question is a short, crowded downtown walk, like a small, narrow-minded drive. Your own budget is also a real aspect. However, it is worth thinking about how much you intend for this program before you go, so that no surprised wallet will decide for you in the end.

I would not give advice that the same amount of euro is correct everywhere. It's like having a lunch is going to cost you? Instead, I would look at similar fixed-price walks in that city as a comparison. This is an orientation point, not a minimum mandatory and not an exact mirror of the leader's revenue.

For families and groups, read the terms first

At one point, uncertainty can still seem manageable. However, more adults and children are quickly affected by the entire daily framework. It is already a difference that the provider talks about a recommended amount per person or per reservation. The participation of children should not automatically be considered free on the basis of the name of the programme.

According to the GuruWalk's official group management guide, some PRO tours can be linked to a payment commitment fixed for larger reservations, which is accepted in advance by the participant and executed at the beginning of the programme. The leader sets the terms. Therefore, the baseline in the guide is not a worldwide group centre.

This is the point where the word (s) for free (s) already provides very little information. Before booking, look at the number limit, the children's rule and all payment commitments. If it is not clear from the description, ask him specifically: does our workforce have a freely chosen contribution or a fixed amount? A usable response must respond in a predictable manner.

The hit list isn't just about sightseeing.

The first walk to appear can easily be seen as the obvious choice. GuruWalk's own ranking information also lists business and booking aspects: in addition to PRO status, for example, availability and reservation performance can be involved. In order, it doesn't seem like the first program suits you best.

The details under the title are therefore worth more than placing. What language is it in? What's your theme? How big a walk does that mean? Where does it end? The best places in the city, instead of a promise, tell me more about an accurate route and some clear limits. When you start your train at night, the end point is more useful than the program is supposed to be unmissed.

I would also like to read the evaluations with a question. I'd like to see if they're praising the same thing that's important to me: the understandable explanation, the historical connection, the calm pace. A happy group can be a great program. If you want a quiet, detailed walk, that doesn't mean it's for you.

What do you want to clarify before applying?

First select the program, then select the payment model. An uninteresting walk won't do you any good if you don't have a fixed entrance fee. Read the description, route and conditions of participation; check date and language should not remain at the end of the confirmation letter.

Then define your own framework for the whole company. Don't count just the per capita amount. If you are insecure about children, group size or method of payment, ask before booking. Also check out the cancellation option: your application takes a seat, even if the service address contains the free word.

Take the confirmation and do not start by using the same platform rule for all local leaders. If, at the beginning of the program, you have a different condition than what you've accepted, then clear it up. After walking fatigue rarely improves the interpretation of the contract.

If that's too much thinking for you

The fixed price has an undervalued feature: it can be predicted. Especially when travelling in the family, it may be convenient not to decide on services, your own framework and social situation at the end of sightseeing. That doesn't make driving any less personal.

The tip form can be good for someone who really wants to consider retrospectively and understands what they're doing. The problem begins when one side talks about free decisions, and the other one is mandatory, but it hears an unspoken price. That difference is the cheapest thing to do at home.
