SPIRITUAL SELF-AWARENESS RETREAT IN LADAKH, TIBET
02.08.2025 - 17.08.2025
Himalayas: The Highest Realm
Close to the sky, close to the light. A place for the soul to open. At the same time, physical exposure and challenges are ever-present. The summers are scorching, the winters are freezing, and every accomplishment requires significant trekking. In this context, we reflect, explore self-awareness, quiet our minds, and receive revelations.
Ladakh is the preserved treasure of Tibetan mountain culture. I am fascinated by how highland people, whether in Peru or the Himalayas, share something in common. It’s as if their everyday lives are closer to God, to Unity.

This journey will be as much a retreat, a journey in our minds, as we take one step after another in Ladakh. We are heading into high mountains, into an elevated culture, and we will frame our days accordingly. Every day we give space for self-reflection, for opening up. We start with acclimatisation, specifically, as we arrive by plane at over 3000 metres. Then, stunning landscapes and monasteries will open our path. Then we're in for an overwhelming experience, the Sani Monastery Festival. It may overwhelm the obstacles in our minds. We'll then head to a hidden monastic community where we can retreat after all the experiences for a while to arrive, where you can just ponder the mountains and the sky. Gradually we will connect the mountains to the valleys, caves, everyday life, and then the flight to everyday life, so that you can bring home to your everyday life all that you want, and even realize that you can't lose it, because it has always been with you.
Ladakh is a preserved treasure of Tibetan mountain culture. It fascinates me that mountain people, whether in Peru or in the Himalayas, have something in common. It is as if their everyday lives are closer to God, to Oneness.
During our journey you can work with any theme that the experience, the impact of the environment, brings up. However, we especially invite you to the following areas:
The spaciousness,
a state of wholeness,
of 'I am who I am'.
What is my purpose in life? Where am I going?
What are my peak experiences, my fulfillment?
Where do I want to go and what am I willing to give to get there?
Among our tools you will find Bodywork, systemic alignment, movement meditation, stillness, psychodrama, yoga, imagination, mindfulness presence, plus relationship building, restorative community building, communal open air dance.
Your Facilitators
I have dedicated thousands of hours and tens of years of my life to self-knowledge in the psychological sense. I have created a method of self-awareness based on the body and direct sensory experience, Bodywork. If you need a heart valve operation, you go to a heart surgeon... but if you want to understand the essence of love, the surgeon won't have the answers. Unless your surgeon is also a pastor. Just as beyond the functions of personality, you will only find what is your essence...who you are.
I'm using my decades of experience as a psychologist on personality to help you to disentangle yourself from personality.
I see you. I am not primarily trying to help you shape your personality, it is more of a tool. But to differentiate yourself from your patterns. And once you realize who you are, feel at home in the present.

I am a traveller, a pilgrim of space and time. When I journey with you, sometimes I act as your guide, but more often I am a seasoned companion: I walk with you through sunlit meadows and shadowy woods, I sit with you by the sea or at the bottom of a well; I listen, I converse, and I am present with you in the silence. I believe that harm occurs within a relational space, and thus healing must take place through reconnecting with others.
My toolkit includes elements of psychodrama, family constellations, movement meditation, and bodywork, alongside imagery techniques and meditation. Connecting with the wisdom of your subconscious through metaphoric imagery, I support you in processing individual, transgenerational, or soul-journey topics, resolving relationship challenges, and discovering parts of your personality.
For me, travel is a spiritual state of being; to journey is to participate in the flow of life. I deeply believe that a journey designed around the traveler’s needs can have a transformative power equal to many hours of therapy.

My artistic journey began with East Asian ink painting, but I have also successfully explored music and acting. Over time, I gravitated toward landscape photography, with deserts and mountains as my primary inspirations. During our travels, I photograph anything that captivates me.
Traveling is my way of life—I’ve spent years on the road, accumulating a wide array of adventures. I enjoy connecting with cultures in an authentic way, engaging in genuine interactions. Through these balanced encounters, I aim to show fellow travellers what it means to truly meet local people, where diverse communities and landscapes can have a transformative impact.
Henrik also offers guidance in quality landscape photography, ensuring that your travel memories are extraordinary. At one of the key stops on our journey, Henrik will capture your portrait and provide it as a gift after post-processing.
