In the Footsteps of the Nomads, Morocco
01.11.2025 - 11.11.2025
We invite you on a unique adventure to discover the authentic, lesser-known parts of the Moroccan Sahara, far from the desert camps frequented by tourists. The route, which I walked with a donkey last December, is now available in a safer and more comfortable way. Accompanied by a local guide and a professional supply team, you will discover the Sahara's most beautiful and diverse landscapes, while gaining an insight into the life of nomadic families living in the desert.
The route will be half the distance I have covered before. The first section - from Zagora to the Anti-Atlas Pass - will be skipped to cover only the most spectacular and varied landscapes. The journey will take you through dry mountains, rocky desert, canyons, waterfalls, tiny oases, endless acacia plains and Morocco's largest dune system, where you'll find sand dunes up to 500 metres high.
During the trek you will be accompanied by a local professional guide, a cook and two assistants who will help you with navigation, camel management and camp construction. Four pack camels will carry your luggage, communal tents, kitchen equipment, drinking water and food.

Your facilitator
My artistic journey began with East Asian ink painting, but I have also successfully explored music and acting. Over time, I gravitated toward landscape photography, with deserts and mountains as my primary inspirations. During our travels, I photograph anything that captivates me.
Traveling is my way of life—I’ve spent years on the road, accumulating a wide array of adventures. I enjoy connecting with cultures in an authentic way, engaging in genuine interactions. Through these balanced encounters, I aim to show fellow travellers what it means to truly meet local people, where diverse communities and landscapes can have a transformative impact.
Henrik also offers guidance in quality landscape photography, ensuring that your travel memories are extraordinary. At one of the key stops on our journey, Henrik will capture your portrait and provide it as a gift after post-processing.

Who do we recommend?

- For those who love the scenery of the wilderness and the remote landscapes.
Why join us?
When I walked this route alone with a donkey last year, I was struck by the beauty and tranquillity of the landscape. However, a lot of my energy went into caring for the animal, packing or collecting firewood - so I wasn't able to immerse myself in the experience or take as many photos as I would have liked.
But now we have a professional supply team to accompany us: all you have to do is enjoy the scenery! I will be there with you - helping you coordinate the trip, communicate with the locals and capture the best moments. After the tour, each participant will receive the photos in a drive folder after processing.
Join us for this adventure of a lifetime!
